About NICE America Research: NICE America Research, Inc. is a newly established R&D Center in Silicon Valley, and is 100% owned by the National Institute of Clean-and-Low-Carbon Energy (NICE) in Beijing, China. NICE is the corporate research arm of Shenhua Group which is an integrated energy company and a Global Fortune 500. Our mission is to drive technology innovation in clean energy and help Shenhua become a world-class clean energy supplier. Our US research center is located in the heart of Silicon Valley and will start operations from Sept., 2016. Our R&D focuses on clean energy tech development including 1) coal/shale gas conversion (fuels, olefins, fine chemicals, etc.), 2) hydrogen energy (hydrogen production, transportation, fueling infrastructure, fuel cells, and fuel cell driven vehicles), 3) carbon capture and utilization (coal-firing power plants, coal chemical processes, conversion to chemicals etc.), and 4) energy internet (energy storage, distributed energy system, control platform, micro-grid, etc.).
