    Job Description
    Founded in 1922 and located in the heart of Silicon Valley, the Mountain View Chamber of Commerce (MVCoC) is a membership based non-profit organization that integrates over 600 businesses, local nonprofits, government, and mission-driven industries to serve and improve a community of more than 40,000 employees. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, self-directed Office Manager and Community Ambassador to support our integrated organization through an unrivaled blend of operations, event program coordination, special projects, and admin support to the CEO. This position will have four primary job areas:
     
    • Administrative Assistance: You provide exceptional administrative assistance to the team by direction of the CEO

    • Community Ambassador: You take initiative to educate and promote our dynamic community and diverse partners by fostering a welcoming, inventive environment

    • Office Management: You ensure smooth operation of the day to day activities of the office, working with outside vendors or internal projects

    • Program and Project Coordination: You are the “catch-all” for special projects, assignments, and major events, including hospitality and space management

    Administrative Assistance:

    • General administration and calendar management for the CEO

    • Coordination of team events and/or meetings using Mac and Google productivity products and web/mobile collaboration tools: Slack, Agent.ai, Zello, CRM administration Chambermaster

    • A/P responsibilities using QuickBooks Online

    Community Ambassador:

    • MVCoC is open to the public and operating M-F from 9:00am to 5:00pm. You serve visitors by greeting, welcoming, directing and announcing them

    • Answer questions, field inquiries (in person, phone, email), investigate, follow up to provide general and relocation information

    • Maintain and replenish information racks and counters in lobby

    Office Management:

    • You are the point of contact for the team, visitors, members, community partners and vendors

    • Manage office budget while ensuring office supplies are stocked

    Program and Project Coordination:

    • Support CEO and Directors as needed in preparing materials for monthly programs and major events

    • Attend and assist with Chamber and Chamber Education Foundation functions including: Business Mixers, Board Planning Retreats, Leadership Mountain View (LMV) Graduation, LMV Luncheon, Scholarship MV Fundraiser and events

    Qualifications:

    • You are a dedicated self-starter with the confidence and common sense to manage multiple simultaneous priorities efficiently

    • You have strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse internal and external partners at all levels

    • 2-5 years of office administration and event or program coordination experience managing the daily operations and A/P functions

    • College degree and foreign language skills are a plus

    Benefits Include:

    • Reporting directly to the President and CEO, this exciting non-exempt full-time opportunity offers $20.00/hour starting
