I want to give you a heads up on an exciting new grant challenge: Inspire Mountain View.

Four of the world’s most innovative companies – Google, LinkedIn, Symantec, and Synopsys —are funding this challenge to help make their hometown of Mountain View a more compassionate and equitable community, and a better place to live and work.

Inspire Mountain View will award three grants — $25k, $50k, and $100k —  for innovative projects that benefit the people who live and work in the Mountain View community.

Applications are available online beginning February 14. Grant awards will be made on May 3.

The contest is open to 501(c)(3) nonprofits or individuals, government agencies, and for-profits that partner with a  501(c)(3) nonprofit.  Programs that are fiscally sponsored by a 501(c)(3) nonprofit are also eligible.

Feel free to share this email with your partners, board members, and other interested parties.

Applications will be evaluated based on innovation and creativity, feasibility and measurable impact. Proposals that suggest a new idea or new approach to solving a social challenge are encouraged over funding for an existing program or project.

    Good luck!
