October's Old Mtn View Newsletter (and others in nearby neighborhoods) report the following.  (This was a short "quarter:" our Newsletter schedule syncopates in even-numbered calendar years, for local election coverage.)

124 Castro's Chop & Pub, the small-plates restaurant that opened late last year, now offers lunch service featuring burgers and other casual fare.

Alcohol-license notice appeared August 28 for 210 Hope at Villa (site of the short-lived Verde Tea Kitchen) proclaiming a new restaurant under construction.  Working name: Superhot Hot Pot & Korean BBQ.

A similar notice dated September 13 announced new owners at the restaurant Fu Lam Mum, 153 Castro, whose massive remodeling project remains underway.

HanGen Szechuan closed after 25 years at 134 Castro (a new restaurant is planned there).

Bierhaus (383 Castro at California) closed, as announced previously by the business.  License notice now posted indicates a pending replacement there, called Drafthaus.

    315 Castro's new Paris Baguette bakery-café opened.
