Original commission by Lamplighters of a new comedic operetta celebrating the "Black Mozart". Composer, conductor, virtuoso violinist and expert swordsman, the Chevalier was the first known classical composer of African descent, supported by Marie Antoinette and Louis XVI. We present a fictional day in his life at the height of his powers. This performance is 75 minutes long with no intermission and is appropriate for ages 5 and above due to subject matter. Anyone appearing to be under 2 will not be allowed into the auditorium regardless of ticket purchase.
