Los Altos High School students host digital version of traditional “Diversity Week”

Honored annual event goes virtual to showcase unique cultures among students and families

WHAT:  The Associated Student Body (ASB) at Los Altos High School (LAHS) isn’t letting a pandemic get in the way of a time-honored tradition – LAHS’ annual Diversity Week, showcasing different cultures, backgrounds, celebrations, and opinions.

This year, students are using virtual means to engage with each other for Diversity Week– through digital activities, posts, interactive polls, and more.  Typically, the week leads up to a big Diversity Assembly in the gym. This year, students will present the Diversity Assembly with 10 videos presented via IGTV, a live video application for Instagram.  Students are encouraged to follow LAHS on Instagram (@LosAltosASB) to watch videos that feature performances of songs, dances, poetry, and more. There will also be a YouTube link made available with all performances.
