Celebrate Arbor Day with the City of Mountain View on Saturday, March 9, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (Location to be determined).Celebration festivities include: +Tree Planting +Children’s Arts & Crafts and Themed Story Time +Information about trees, composting, and more +Tree Walk through Pioneer Park +Tree Climbing Demonstration by City staff +Complimentary hot dog and drink, while supplies last Event held rain or shine. Tree Give Away: Sign up for a FREE tree! Celebrate Arbor Day with a new tree for your yard! The City will make Arbor Day Trees available to Mountain View residents for planting on their property. Residents agree to plant and maintain the tree on their property. The planting event is part of the City’s forestry restoration efforts and the celebration of the State of California’s Arbor Day. Residents who wish to participate may fill out the application online at www.mountainview.gov/arborday. The City will deliver the tree of choice to eligible residents in late April or early May.
