An exhibition of classical Chinese landscape paintings by Shu Shin Zhe (1916-2010). Born soon after the Imperial (Xin Hai) Revolution, Shin Zhe grew up during the Sino-Japanese war and the civil war between the Communist and the Nationalist party. She eventually moved to Taiwan after the Nationalist party’s retreat with Chiang Kai Shek. She spent the prime of her youth escaping from violence and war. This exhibit celebrates Shu Shin Zhe’s life through her paintings.
