Join Peninsula Open Space Trust (POST) for a challenging, 9-mile hike in the beautiful Purisima Creek Redwoods Open Space Preserve. This 4,700-acre preserve is located along Skyline Boulevard, near the intersection with Highway 92. Six POST protected properties have been added to this MidPeninsula Regional Open Space District preserve, which features stunning redwood forests and beautiful views.
The hike is very strenuous (9 miles with very steep sections). The first half of the trail is primarily downhill, followed by 1,000-foot elevation gain. Please consider your ability to complete the hike before signing up. We do not recommend this outing for those with health concerns or for young children. Please come prepared with plenty of water, a picnic lunch, sturdy walking shoes and layered clothing.
The hike will begin promptly at 9 am at the North Ridge Trail Parking Lot. We will share in advance about an 8:30 am carpool meeting location as parking is limited. Registration is required so sign up today!
